Exposición en la Maison de l`Architecture Midi-Pyrénées. Toulouse.

La exposición del XXVI Premio García Mercadal se podrá visitar en la Maison de l`Architecture Midi-Pyrénées en Toulouse  desde  el 11 de abril al 7 de mayo de 2013. Entre las obras expuestas, se encuentra la Sede de la Comarca del Bajo Martín, de Magén Arquitectos.

XXVI Garcia Mercadal Prize will be exhibited in the Maison de l`Architecture Midi-Pyrénées in Toulouse from 11th April to 7th May. Bajo Martin County Seat, by Magen Arquitectos  is among the exhibited works.

Liquid Landscapes. Catalogue of 6th European Biennial of Landscape Rosa Barba

The book “Liquid Landscapes”, edited by Paysage, contains the winners and selected projects of the 6th European Biennial of Landscape Rosa Barba. In the section “Intersection”, the book includes Ebro Environmental Centre, by Magén Arquitectos.

El libro “Liquid Landscapes”, publicado por la editorial  Paysage, recopila los proyectos seleccionados y premiados en la 6ª Bienal Europea del Paisaje Rosa Barba. En la sección “Intersección”,  se incluye el Centro Ambiental del Ebro, de Magén Arquitectos.

Magen Arquitectos gets 40 under 40 European Award 2012

The “Europe 40 Under 40” program was initiated by The European Center for Architecture, Art Design and Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum as an annual program to spotlight and identify the next generation of European architects and designers who will impact future living and working environments, cities, and rural areas.

Forty architects and landscape architects and industrial designers were selected this year by a jury of architecture and design practitioners from The European Centre’s International Advisory Committee composed of some of Europe and the United States’ most prestigious architecture and industrial design offices. In this year`s announcement, Magén Arquitectos is part of the selected emerging architectural firms.

“This year’s awarded Europe 40 Under 40,” states Christian K. Narkiewicz-Laine, Museum President, The
Chicago Athenaeum, “are some of the brightest and most progressive architects and designers ever selected in this program over the years. Their work is highly innovative, densely imaginative, and full of a new spirit that characterizes European design today.”

Magén Arquitectos han sido premiados con el “Europe 40 Under 40 International Award”, que reconoce a los 40 arquitectos europeos menores de 40 años más destacados. El premio, anunciado por el Centro Europeo de Diseño de Arte, Arquitectura y Estudios Urbanos, conjuntamente con The Chicago Athenaeum, tiene como objetivo identificar y promover la nueva generación de talento europeo de arquitectos, paisajistas, urbanistas y diseñadores industriales de Europa.

“Magén Arquitectos: 2002-2012″, presentación del monográfico editado por Biblioteca TC

El próximo lunes 12 de Noviembre a las 20:00 horas tendrá lugar en el Salón de Actos de la sede del Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Aragón (C/ San Voto, 7 – Zaragoza) la presentación del número monográfico de la serie Biblioteca TC: “Magén Arquitectos: arquitectura 2002-2012”, editado por Biblioteca TC.

La publicación, prologada por Francisco Mangado, ofrece una visión general de la primera década de producción del estudio a través de los proyectos y obras más significativos y de los textos de Llátzer Moix y Jaime y Francisco J. Magén, que, junto con el prólogo, aportan un contexto teórico a la práctica del estudio.

The publication includes, besides projects and works, texts by Francisco Mangado, Llátzer Moix, y Jaime y Francisco J. Magén.

XXVII Premio COA Aragón “Fernando García Mercadal”. Accésit

La Sede de la Comarca del Bajo Martín y Centro para el Desarrollo del Alabastro, en Híjar (Teruel) ha obtenido el Accésit en la categoría de Edificación y Equipamiento de Uso no Residencial en la XXVII edición del Premio Fernando García Mercadal, organizado por el Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Aragón.

El jurado destacó “La calidad de sus valores espaciales y su resolución material que transmite una dignidad acorde con su uso institucional”.

Bajo Martin County Seat has been awarded in the XXVII edition of Fernando Garcia Mercadal Award, by the Institute of Architects of Aragon. The Seathas received an Accesit in the Non-Housing Category.

The jury highlighted “the spacial quality and the material solution to transmit a dignity according to its institutional use”.

Final Stage DETAIL Prize 2012!!! Administrative Regional Headquarters and Center for the Development of local Alabaster, nominated

“Munich, 20 August 2012 – For this year’s DETAIL Prize 2012, DETAIL is again looking for high-quality architectural projects that convince through their innovative details within a coherent overall concept. Altogether, architects from 45 countries decided to take part and submitted their completed projects by 31 July 2012. Out of the 589 projects sent in, the DETAIL editorial team picked out the best ones.(…)”

There are 24 projects nominated  as a selection from the total number of submissions. Now, the DETAIL readers and the international jury are being asked to choose their favourites by 20 September 2012. There are two prizes to be awarded: the DETAIL Prize and the DETAIL Reader Prize

The international jury is composed of: David Chipperfield, Odile Decq, Norman Foster, Jurgen Mayer H., Richard Meier, Volker Staab y Graham Stirk.

Readers can also choose their favourites up to 20 September 2012.

10 años!

Se cumplen hoy 10 años de la resolución del Concurso de Ideas para la Ordenación y Edificación de 140 viviendas VPO y locales comerciales en la calle Biescas de Zaragoza convocado por la Sociedad Municipal Zaragoza Vivienda.

El premio obtenido por Magén Arquitectos dio lugar al  edificio de 68 viviendas VPO en la calle Biescas, primera obra construida del estudio.

Today marks 10 years of the resolution of the Ideas Competition for the Masterplan and Construction of 140 social housing and commercial premises in Biescas street in Zaragoza announced by Zaragoza Vivienda.

Award obtained by Magén Arquitectos leds to the building 68 Social Housing in Biescas street, first built work by the office.
